Rohit Pasam is a technology trailblazer with proven expertise in bringing to market game changing products that solve complex real-world problems, creating over 250 sustainable high-paying technology jobs in America. Currently the CEO of Xaptum- a fast growing venture backed Chicago startup solving big problems to facilitate and accelerate the adoption and growth Internet of Things. In 2013, AT&T named him one of their top innovators in Internet of Things, where he successfully tested and proved the technology and value of a secure isolated software network for things, and Co-founded Xaptum- creating the world’s first “The Internet for Things” product offering, a software infrastructure that functions as a digital nervous system with a mission to simplify communication in Internet of Things forever. In 2017, Pasam was named one of top tech 50 people in Chicago by Crain's. After winning the Chicago Innovation Award in 2015, In 2017, CB Insights, IDC Reports and 451 Research, all considered well know industry analysts in the technology space recognized Xaptum as a major contributor the digitalization of Industrial Internet of Things. Pasam had previously founded successful technology businesses in technology services and outsourced product development. A Biomedical Engineer by training, very early Rohit was recognized for his ability in Mathematics, he had received a National Merit award in India for his ability in Mathematics, in 1995. Rohit was on of the early pioneer’s using applied mathematics developing mathematical models in simulating human organs and biological processes. He has both authored and been quoted in articles on business innovation for publications such as the St. Louis Business Journal (which named him a St. Louis “30 Under 30”), St. Louis Commerce Magazine, and St. Louis Post Dispatch. The secretary of state of Missouri, Robin Carnahan, recognized Pasam for public service and contribution to the community, and more recently in 2016 Crain’s Business Chicago - identified Xaptum, and his role as the CEO and architect of the core product that has the promise of proactively preventing “Mirai” type botnet cyberattacks. Pasam is currently on leave from his PhD in Bioengineering from University of Illinois, Chicago, who awarded him the Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award in 2018. To date, Rohit has co-authored over 37 patents in Cybersecurity, related to his mission to secure the World of IoT forever.
